Randall Fahrenholtz, M.D.

 

Dr. Randall Fahrenholtz brings 29 years of primary care experience with a special interest in preventive medicine and substance abuse treatment. An experienced health care provider, Dr. Fahrenholtz brings an enthusiasm for rural healthcare and an appreciation for the rural lifestyle, having grown up on a central Kansas farm. He is board certified in Family Medicine, a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Fahrenholtz graduated from Sterling College in 1972 and then attended University of Kansas medical school in Kansas City and Wichita, graduating in 1975. He completed his family practice training at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

Following 14 years of family practice including OB care and delivery, Dr. Fahrenholtz spent six years as medical director for the Via Christi Addiction Treatment Services. He was responsible for treatment plans, performed exams and created detox protocols for a full range of chemical addictions. He also completed a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Kansas in 1999. While completing his degree in public health, he was associated with an obesity specialist in KU-Wichita and actively worked with Class 3 obesity patients.

Dr. Fahrenholtz is a member of the Kansas and American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Fahrenholtz is actively involved with the Greeley County community, currently co-chairing the Community Health Action Team, charged with improving conditions and the environment for healthy lifestyles in the area. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing the piano and performing with the community band.
